Ismailia- Yasser Al-Sherif: Ismaili board of directors gave Nigerian Robert Akaruye the green light to join his national team in their Portuguese training camp for the African Cup of Nations (ACN). The club board had initially refused to let go of the Nigerian international who is still being monitored by coach Theo Buecker. The 25-year-old forward has failed to impress ever since joining the Dervishes during the off-season, scoring only one goal with the team in the Egyptian league. However, Buecker agreed to release Akaruye to his national team while hoping the experience will have a positive effect on the player. On the other hand, Ismaili spokesman Abdul-Rahman Anous said that club paid the delayed salaries and bonuses for the first and youth team players and technical staffs. Anous also refuted talks that Ismaili had opened negotiations with Canal striker Salah Amin who is currently being pursued by Ahli and Enppi.
