Shehata furious over fans behavior
Published in FilGoal on 31 - 12 - 2005

Egypt coach Hassan Shehata expressed his displeasure with the unsporting behavior of the fans during the national team's 2-0 friendly victory over Uganda in the LG tournament on Tuesday.
"It's time to support our national team, no more Ahli or Zamalek!" Shehata said after the match.
A section of the Zamalek fans jeered striker Ahli striker Emad Meteb during the first-half before Ahli fans responded by taunting Ibrahim Said after the interval.
Meanwhile, Mainz forward Mohamed Zidan, on loan from Werder Bremen, will be omitted from the Egypt squad for the African Cup of Nations (ACN).
Zidan, who was named in Shehata's potential squad, did not reply to the national team call-up.
"We may leave Zidan out of our squad because we sent him two invitations but he did not reply," Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib told Filgoal.com on Wednesday.
"We have set today (Wednesday) as a deadline to receive his reply, if we don't hear from him, he's out," Gharib stated.
Gharib said that Feyenoord midfielder Hossam Ghali will join the team on Friday after playing a Dutch league match with his team on Thursday.
On the other hand, Egypt midfielder Mohamed Barakat will undergo an x-ray on his leg to know the extent of the injury sustained during the Uganda clash.
Egypt will begin a training camp in Alexandria on Sunday until the friendly encounter against Ghana on the 5th of January.
