Shehata names Egypt squad, calls-up Hassan, Belal and Saied

Coach Hassan Shehata named veteran striker Hossam Hassan in the 26-man Egyptian squad taking part in the preparation camp for the African Cup of Nations (ACN).
Hassan, along with returning international players Ahmed Belal and Ibrahim Saied were among the names announced by Shehata on Wednesday.
Major absentees included Tottenham's Ahmed Hossam “Mido” and Feyenoord midfielder Hossam Ghali, who are currently committed to their clubs.
Ahli defender Emad El-Nahhas and Strasbourg midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou are missing due to injury.
However, both players will undergo tests to determine the possibility of their return with Abd-Rabou having a better chance of recovering.
The ACN will take place in Egypt from January 20th to February 10th, 2006.
Complete Egyptian squad:-
Goalkeepers: Essam El-Hadari, Abdul-Wahed El-Sayed, Mohamed Abdul-Monsef and Mostafa Kamal.
Defenders: Ahmed Fathi, Wael Gomaa, Beshir El-Tabei, Ibrahim Saied, Abdul-Zaher El-Saqqa, Ahmed Abou-Mosallam, Mohamed Abdul-Wahab and Tarek El-Sayed.
Midfielders: Mohamed Barakat, Ahmed Hassan, Samir Sabri, Mohamed Shawki, Hassan Mostafa, Mohamed Zidan, Mohamed Abou-Treika and Ahmed Eid Abdul-Malek.
