Zamalek eased to a 4-0 victory at newly-promoted Canal in the Egyptian Premier League.
A brace from Egypt international Ahmed Ali paved way for the comprehensive victory in Ismailia.
Making his full debut after signing from bitter rivals Ahli, Mauritanian striker Dominique da Silva added the third for his first goal with the Whites.
In-form midfielder Omar Gaber completed the rout as Zamalek remain unbeaten under new coach Mido.
Zamalek closed the gap on joint-leaders Petrojet and Ismaili to a single point as the latter were held by Gaish earlier on Wednesday.
