Egypt midfielder Hossam Ghaly was replaced on 68 minutes in Lierse's 4-0 Belgian league drubbing at Genk, whereas left-back Ahmed Samir Farag played the full match. Amr Zaki failed to hit the target in Al-Salmiya's 4-3 loss at Kuwaiti league leaders Al-Kuwait but managed to bag a brace in a game with the reserves.
