Treika inspires perfect Egypt on 100th game

Mohamed Abou-Treika marked his 100th international game with a goal and two assists to steer Egypt to a 4-2 home victory over Guinea in the final World Cup qualifying group game.
Guinea surprisingly took the lead early in the game, thanks to an own goal from Brighton center-half Adam El-Abd, who made his competitive debut for Egypt.
Hossam Ghaly drew level on 38 minutes before Treika put his side ahead few minutes after the interval through a penalty kick, which saw Guinea skipper Kamil Zayatte sent off for handling a goal-bound shot.
But another blunder from El-Abd allowed midfielder Seydouba Soumah to restore parity before Treika set up Basel star Mohamed Salah and Amr Zaki with late goals.
Egypt, who already made it to the playoffs ahead of the game, now became the only team to maintain a 100% record in the World Cup qualifiers, claiming their 18th point in Group G.
El-Abd nightmare and Treika saves the day
It took Guinea just four minutes to take the lead, even so El-Abd was the one to thank for an own goal following a mix-up between him and keeper Sherif Ekrami.
Egypt struggled for fluency for a while but replied seven minutes before the break with Ghaly finely controlling the ball inside the box before slotting a right-footed volley home.
Egypt managed to go ahead just three minutes after the break, when a Mohamed Naguib strike was handled by Guinea captain Zayatte as the referee pointed to the spot, sending off the latter.
Abou-Treika made no mistake from the spot to celebrate his 37th Egypt goal in 100 caps.
Center-half El-Abd was guilty once again when Soumah beat him to the ball to break clear and find the net at the far post.
The flamboyant Treika then continued to dazzle when his superb back heel allowed Salah to break clear before rounding the keeper and slotting home to finish off a wonderful team move seven minutes from the end.
The on-fire Abou-Treika stamped his mark once again with another threaded through pass for Zaki to hit his side's fourth of the night.
