Defender Sabri Rahil has joined Ahli on a free transfer from bitter rivals Zamalek, the African champions said on their website. The 25-year-old full-back penned a five-year contract with the Reds after rejecting a new deal from Zamalek following a series of disputes related to his unpaid wages. Rahil will be facing fierce competition for the left-back position with international duo Sayed Moawad and Ahmed Shedid, who is currently first choice for Egypt. He will not be available for next week's Champions League clash against his former club but is expected to make the squad in later games.
