Jordan manager Hossam Hassan says his side have requested a friendly meeting with Egypt as part of 'Al-Nashama' preparations for the Asian and World Cup qualifiers. Egypt legend Hassan, who has only been appointed Jordan boss last month, spoke to a local newspaper of his side's arrangements for the upcoming period that includes an Asian Cup qualifier against Syria on August 15. "We are currently trying to arrange friendly games as we have sent official requests to several associations including Egypt," the Pharaohs all-time leading scorer was quoted by Jordanian media. "Some teams initially rejected our proposal but we are keen to play two friendlies ahead of our Asian Cup qualifier against Syria." Jordan, who never reached the World Cup throughout their history, have made it to the playoff round as they face Uzbekistan in a two-legged encounter on September 6 and 10. Although it included the fixture in a possible list of friendlies, the Egyptian FA has yet to confirm any meeting with their Jordanian counterparts.
