Egypt coach Bob Bradley has decided to call up Ismaili goalie Mohamed Sobhi for the injured Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed ahead of Sunday's World Cup qualifier in Zimbabwe. Zamalek's Abdul-Wahed injured his ribs in training on Friday and was ruled out of the game, leaving Sherif Ekrami and Ahmed Al-Shennawi as the goalkeepers on board. The decision to recall Sobhi came after an announcement that Ittihad's Al-Hani Soliman will be the man to replace Abdul-Wahed. "It was a big surprise for me. I had honestly given up on joining the national team and prepared myself to be just a fan!" Sobhi told FilGoal.com. Sobhi, 31, represented Egypt four times but has yet to make a competitive appearance. Ahli's Ekrami, who is also yet to make his competitive debut, is strongly tipped to be between the posts against Zimbabwe.
