Egypt coach Bob Bradley has chosen 22 players for the friendly game against Brazil on November 14, with the likes of Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed and Mohamed Abou-Treika left out. Zamalek captain Abdul-Wahed was excluded after being tipped by many to stand between the posts against the Selecao in Doha. As initially announced, the list included the name of goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari, who hasn't been playing regularly for his club Merreikh recently due to a dispute with the board. Mohamed Zidan, who hardly featured for his club Borussia Dortmund this season, was also named, along with Ahmed Elmohamady of Sunderland and Mohamed Al-Gabbas of Lierse. Ahli's Sayed Moawad, who has been Egypt's first-choice left-back during Hassan Shehata's reign, was overlooked as ENPPI's Mohamed Nassef won his first call-up.
