Ismaili opened their CAF Confederation Cup campaign with a 2-0 first-leg victory over Madagascar's Terreble C.O at Alexandria's Army Stadium. Two goals in three minutes were enough for the Dervishes to down their lowly opponents, courtesy of strikes from midfielder Ahmed Khairi and John Antwi on 77 and 80 minutes. Egypt's representatives were lucky not to concede a damaging home goal as the visitors were denied a clear penalty when goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi brought down an attacker. Sobhi also made a great save minutes later before Khairi and Antwi settled the game in the last 13 minutes. Ismaili, who also vie at the Arab Club Cup competition, will play the return leg in Madagascar three weeks later. Another Egyptian outfit to claim a positive first-leg result in the Confederation Cup was ENPPI who coasted to a 3-0 home victory over Kenya's Gor Mahia. Highlights Penalty incident for Terreble
