Ahli striker Ahmed Abdul-Zaher hopes to emulate Moataz Eno by scoring against his former club when the Reds clash with ENPPI in the Egyptian Premier League next week. Eno, who was released by Ahli last year, made the headlines when he spectacularly hit his first goal for new club Harras Hodoud in last week's 3-0 drubbing of the defending champions. As he is still looking for his first Ahli goal, former ENPPI man Abdul-Zaher is eager to do the same and find the target against his old club. "I hope to follow in Moataz Eno's footsteps and score against ENPPI," Abdul-Zaher, 28, told Ahli's official website. "The match against ENPPI is very important. I'm keen to prove my worth and net my first goal. "I'm not concerned over not scoring in my first few games with Ahli as long as I am performing well and following the instructions of coach Hossam Al-Badri." Abdul-Zaher, who was ENPPI's captain and main striker for years, featured in five games out of six for the Cairo giants in all competitions so far this season. The Egypt international scored twice against Ahli during his ENPPI days, but ended up losing both games 3-2.
