Mohamed Abou-Treika is set to miss Bani Yas' third game in a row with a hamstring injury, a club official has confirmed. The Egypt midfielder has been sidelined for the last two games against Al-Shaab and Al-Faisali in the Gulf Champions Cup following a hamstring strain. Even though Bani Yas initially declared that the injury is minor, manager Jozef Chovanec is not ready to risk his star man. “Abou-Treika is very likely to miss Sunday's match with Al-Fujairah. He is still struggling with injury," Bani Yas football director Saleh Ismail said. “He hasn't been training with the team and the manager is not willing to risk him. He will only play when he is 100% fit." Abou-Treika, on loan from Ahli, hit two goals in his first two appearances with Bani Yas so far.
