Mohamed Zidan is likely to make way for compatriot Mohamed Abou-Treika in Bani Yas squad, implied manager Jozef Chovanec. The Emirate side signed Abou-Treika on loan from Ahli last week, while his Egypt teammate Zidan has been sidelined with a knee injury. After being declared fit by his club, Zidan caused controversy by pulling out of a league game with Ittihad, prompting Bani Yas to consider his future as one of four foreigners. “Zidan said that he is injured even though scans proved nothing," Bani Yas Czech coach Chovanec told Emirate newspaper emaratalyoum. “I'm afraid we won't be able to wait until he recovers and I am sure the board will make the right decision regarding his future. “It is normal for a player to suffer so many injuries and there is nothing personal with Zidan. “As for Abou-Treika, I think he is the type of player who can be reliable in tough matches and if he was available in the match against Al-Wasl, I believe we wouldn't have lost." After thrashing Ittihad 6-0, Bani Yas lost a crucial cup game to Al-Wasl last week.
