Egypt duo Geddo and Ahmed Elmohamady inspired Hull City to a sensational 2-1 Championship victory over Derby County. On-loan Ahli forward Geddo gave his side the lead two minutes after coming on as a half-time substitute, heading home a cross from Irish midfielder Robbie Brady. But hosts Derby equalized with just six minutes remaining through Jamie Ward, only for Elmohamady to snatch a dramatic winner three minutes later. It is only Geddo's second appearance for the Tigers, having featured for 19 minutes as a second-half sub in the defeat to Brighton few days ago. Ahmed Fathi, also on a six-month loan from Ahli at Hull, made the squad for the first time but was confined to the bench throughout the game. The win lifted Hull to second place on 56 points, nine adrift of leaders Cardiff City. In another game, Egypt defender Adam El-Abd featured for the whole game in Brighton & Hove Albion's 1-1 home draw with Blackburn Rovers.
