Mohamed Abou-Treika scored a wonderful goal on his Bani Yas debut but his side were eliminated from the UAE President Cup.
A 2-1 defeat to league leaders Al-Ain sent Bani Yas out of the quarter-finals, even so the spotlight was on Egypt and Ahli star Abou-Treika.
The midfield ace received an exceptional welcome by Bani Yas fans in the stands as he appeared for the first time in a no.72 shirt.
With Al-Ain leading through an Alex strike, Abou-Treika unleashed an unstoppable effort into the top corner for a 68th minute equalizer.
But Al-Ain grabbed the win via UAE international Ali Al-Wheibi five minutes later to spoil Treika's bow.
