The Administrative Justice Court has ruled that individuals have a constitutional right to use mobile phones at police stations, ending a ban by the Interior Ministry on allowing persons to take their cellular phones while being interrogated by the police, judiciary sources said Sunday. The sources welcomed the landmark ruling, saying that they strongly agreed with the court's decision to protect citizens' constitutional rights. The Ministry's ban on carrying mobile phones in sensitive places such as police stations was both illegal and unconstitutional, it said.
