Mobiles allowed in Egypt's police stations

An Egyptian court has upheld an earlier order to the Ministry of the Interior to allow mobile phones inside police stations, legal sources said on Sunday.
The Administrative Court refused an appeal by the Ministry of the Interior against the order and said that high technology was not a grant offered by the State to citizens.
In its appeal against the ruling, the Ministry of the Interior said that the mobile phone "exceeded its role as a way of communication and became a source of disturbance".
