RAMALLAH- UAE Ambassador to Egypt Sheikh Mohamed bin Nakhira Al-Thahiri dispatched a convoy of food and medical aid to Gaza from the people of the UAE to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, expected to arrive on Friday. A delegation from the Palestinian embassy in Egypt joined the convoy to the Rafah crossing to facilitate the entrance of the aid, a statement said. The 43-van convoy was loaded with 500 tons of wheat, 100 tons of macaroni, and 100 tons of rice. Three of the vans were loaded with medical supplies. Officials will hand over the goods to the Egyptian Red Crescent, which will process the supplies and transfer them to UNRWA for distribution to Palestinians in Gaza.
