Unwise and exploited: A23-year-old computer programmer from Fayoum got to know two young women from Alexandria on Facebook. They were unwise enough to send him explicit photos and video clips of themselves.
Their new acquaintance then uploaded the photos and video clips onto pornographic web sites. The programmer was arrested in Fayoum and admitted doing this, but added that he didn't mean to harm the two young women, Nehal (21) and her 29-year-old sister Walaa!
Young driver's tragedy:Ateenage driver in Ashmoun, el-Menoufia Governorate was murdered by a worker and his younger sister, a housewife, who dumped his body in a field. The motive was theft, as they wanted his car. The suspects were named as Faris Helmi (39) and Nagwa, his 34-year-old sister. Faris, who was very short of money, hit on the idea of stealing a car and then selling it.
Mohamed Abdel-Aal, a schoolboy from Shubra el-Kheima, proved to be the ideal victim. Faris asked this 15-year-old to drive him from Shubra to Ashmoun.
On the way there, Faris persuaded the youngster to stay in his flat, so that they could work together driving the car and make a lot of money. The innocent Mohamed fell for this trick. He stayed the night with Faris and his sister, but, by the following night, he had become very uncomfortable and decided he ought to drive home to Shubra.
Before he left, Faris asked Nagwa to make their guest a nice cup of tea. She made the tea and generously laced it with poison. Mohamed drank it, passed out and died.
After dumping his body, Faris made some alterations to his car and sold it to a dealer for LE2,000.
Unidentified bodies: Security services in 6th October Governorate have discovered the body of a woman floating in the canal that goes through the village of Abu Ghalab near Imbaba. Detectives are still trying to identify the deceased.
The woman, thought to have been in her twenties, was dressed in a black galabiya.
There were no signs of injury on her body.
The cause of death was probably drowning and it is thought that she died about ten days before she was found.
Meanwhile, security services in the same governorate have discovered the body of a young man floating in the Marioutia Canal in Abul Namrus. He too was thought to have been in his twenties. The victim, whom police are still trying to identify, had been strangled. The rope was still around his neck.
Fanta and Ahmed: Police have arrested two young Africans, who were trying to sell 750g of cocaine which they'd brought into the country from South Africa. The two suspects were named as Fanta Diabaty (22) from Ghana and Abu Bakr Abdel-Wahab Seela (25) from Gambia. Fanta arrived in Cairo on 14th February
and she was renting a furnished flat in Faisal, Giza, while Abu Bakr had arrived in the Egyptian capital on 1st February, in order to study at Al-Azhar.
He was living in the hostels for foreign Muslim students in el-Abbasiya, known as the Islamic Mission City. Ahmed and Fanta were caught by undercover cops at a cafeteria on the smart Abbas el-Aqqad Street in Nasr City.
