Fi mahal el-koshari

At the koshari shop
Suzanne wa Farah kano masheen fi sharia el-falaki fi wassat el-balad youm elsabt baad el-dhur. Homa kano gaanein awei. Homa shaffo mahal koshari. Farah azzameit Suzanne alla tabaq koshari elli kol el-masreen wa al-aganib behibou yaklooh fi el-seif wa el-shetta.
Suzanne and Farah were walking along Falaki Street in downtown Cairo on Saturday afternoon. They were hungry. They saw a koshari shop. Farah invited Suzanne to have a dish of koshari, which Egyptians and foreigners love to eat in summer and winter.
Farah qalet li saheb elmahal: Etnein tabaq koshari wei ykono sukhneen,laou samahat.
Farah told the shop owner: Two tubs of hot koshari, please.
Saheb elmahal: Hadir.
Bil hanna weil sheffa.
Shop owner: OK. Bon appetit.
Suzanne: Ana awzah izzazet maiyah maadaniyah soghairaah.
Suzanne: I want a small bottle of mineral water.
Farah: Howa el-koshari dah bei yetkaoun min eih?
Farah: What the koshari is made of?
Saheb el-mahal: Shofi ya benti. El-koshari bei teemal min roz, ads bei gebbah, hommos el-shaam, makarona, salssiat tamatem, toom, tawaabil, daqqah, wei bassal mehammer.
Shop owner: Look my daughter. Koshari is made from boiled rice and black lentils, chickpeas, macaroni, tomato sauce, garlic
sauce, spices, chili and fried onions.
(After eating their koshari).
Saheb el-mahal: Tayyeb, tehibo tehalow eih? Fih krem karamel, mahlabiya, ruz bi laban, umm ali, wi fakkha tazzah.
Shop owner: What would you like to have for dessert?
We have creme caramel, milk pudding, rice pudding, Om Ali and fresh fruit.
Farah: Ehna awzeen mahlabiya bil mikassraat.
Farah: We want milk pudding with nuts.
