Portuguese coach Manuel Jose has stepped down as coach of Angola following last month's African Cup of Nations. Jose led the hosts of Africa's showpiece football tournament to the quarter-finals where they lost 1-0 to eventual finalists Ghana. The 63-year-old signed a one-year contract with Angola in June last year. That was at the conclusion of a sterling career with Egyptian giants Al Ahly. Jose guided Al-Ahly to four African titles during his six-year spell there.
