CAIRO - Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Osama Kamal held talks on Thursday with the Chief Executive Officer of Edison SpA Bruno Lescoeur about increasing the company's investments in the field of petroleum production. Kamal and Lescoeur stressed the importance of adequately supporting the co-operation between the two sides, in the light of new investment opportunities of mutual benefit. The Italian company has been working in Egypt since mid-nineties, with total investments in the past four years alone hitting $2 billion. It is engaged in the extraction of oil and natural gas in three different concessions in Egypt.
