CAIRO - Having finished the first, Russian phase of his latest adventure, Ahmed Haggag, known as Haggagovic, the Egyptian adventurer and traveller, has now entered on the second phase of his trip in Siberia. From Novosibirsk, the biggest city in Siberia where the temperature is minus 23 degrees, Haggagovic gave an interview to The Egyptian Gazette. Haggagovic is travelling huge distances and facing unknown dangers, in order to raise the Egyptian flag in each corner of the planet and to spread freedom, happiness and peace worldwide, under the motto ‘Loving Egypt'. “We still have a long way to go... After about 5,000km, we'll reach Mongolia and then, after crossing Mongolia, China. “We're taking the most adventurous and longest train trip on planet Earth. It's also extremely perilous, because of the very cold weather,” he told this newspaper. Haggagovic has very long, busy days, doing a million things. "You don't know what's going to happen from one minute to the next.We talk to everyone in the street, laugh with them, raise the Egyptian flag and take photos. “More than a million Russians must knows that here is an Egyptian travelling around the world, proud of his country and raising its flag everywhere,” he added. Many people have invited Haggagovic to visit their cities, and he and his cameraman have been enjoying their hospitality, eating their traditional food and soaking up their cultures. “When I was in the city of Sergeiv Pasod, a priest pulled the ring off his finger and gave it to me, showing his support for me and my message, which is freedom, happiness, peace and one world united. “On the inside of the ring, the phrase ‘God protects and saves me' has been engraved. This has really affected me. "Greatness is not this wonderful, esoteric, elusive, godlike feature that only special people have, but it is something truly exists in all of us. This is what I want to tell every human being on this planet,” he added. One day Haggagovic found a man taking photos of some children, so he didn't hesitate to get himself and the Egyptian flag included in the photos. “They were very happy and asked me some questions. The man gave me his business card and told me that I was welcome to the United States of America anytime. “Yes, the man was American and he wanted me to be the guest of his school and church back home, to prove that there are no borders between religions and races,” he explained. Haggagovic thanked to Egyptian Ambassador in Moscow Alaa el-Hadidy, for the help, support and hospitality he gave him and his cameraman while they were in Russia's capital city. “He let us stay in his residence and gave us everything we needed, even facilitating my meeting with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Amr, in the Egyptian Embassy there. “I also want to thank the Military Attaché and the Cultural Counsellor at the Egyptian Embassy in Cairo, and the head of the Egyptian tourism office in Moscow,” he added.
