CAIRO - The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) has announced that about 18.8 million citizens have the right to vote in the second round of the parliamentary elections, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reports. The first round of the Egyptian elections witnessed a landslide victory for the Islamists, especially Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), who won 36 seats for individuals and about 36.5 per cent of the seats on the party lists. The second start will start on December 14 and 15 in nine governorates: Giza, Sharqiya, Beheira, Aswan, Ismailiya, Menoufiya, Suez, Beni Sueif and Sohag. According to CAPMAS, Giza has 4.2 million voters, Beheira 3.2 million voters and Sharqia 3.5 million. It is reported that there are about 49.2 million Egyptians, aged 18 or over, eligible to vote.
