CAIRO - Zamalek invited Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, former manager and ex-football director respectively, to attend the Egypt Cup final against Enppi on February 11. The invitation-which was presented through Zamalek's official website-came as an expression of gratitude to the twins who spent a year and a half at the helm of the 11-time Egyptian champions before eventually being sacked by the board. The Hassan twins took over at the Cairo Giants late in 2010 when a reeling Zamalek side risked the unthinkable prospect of being relegated to the second-division following a string of poor results in the first half of their league campaign. They led a turnaround in the team's fortunes to finish as runners-up to champions Ahly. However, the following season was a disappointment to the White's faithful after relinquishing the league title to arch-rivals Ahly, a major upset that resulted in their sacking and appointment of former Egypt coach Hassan Shehata.
