Zamalek's chairman, Galal Ibrahim, has invited former technical manager Hossam Hassan and his twin brother, former football director Ibrahim Hassan, to attend the Egypt Cup final in which the club will meet ENPPI on 11 October. “They are two important Zamalek stars,” Ibrahim said about the recently sacked Ismaily coaches. “I hope the match will be like a celebration to please our championship-thirsty fans,” Ibrahim added. Following Ismaily's Egypt Cup exit, Hossam Hassan has publicly backed his former side in the Cup. Earlier in August, the Ismailia-based club named Hassan, Egypt's all-time leading scorer, as their new manager. The 44-year-old tactician accepted the position just one month after his dismissal by Zamalek for failing to bring any championships to the club last season. Under the helm of the country's most successful coach, Hassan Shehata, Zamalek knocked out title holders, Haras El-Hodoud to reach the finals where they will meet ENPPI who reached the final after eliminating a strong Arab Contractors and Egyptian League champions Ahly.
