CAIRO - Mohamed Saad el-Katatni, Secretary-General of the Freedom and Justice Party, affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood, said on Monday that the party would not participate on Friday in what has been dubbed by some as the 'One Million Man Demonstration', in order to put the revolution back on track. El-Katatni added that the aim of the demonstration is to achieve the most important of the revolution's demands, even though most of them have already been met, the official Middle East News Agency reports. He stressed that his party believes that it is better to give the Government time to work in a quite atmosphere without interruptions. “If their demands are not met, people should protest in the iconic Tahrir Square,” he argued. Meanwhile, the April 6 Movement said on Monday that it will participate in Friday's demonstrations, adding that many of the revolution's demands have yet to be met.
