CAIRO - The Libyan authorities have decided to release 39 Egyptians detained in Libyan prisons on Sunday and more Egyptian detainees in Libya will be freed later, according to Egypt's Foreign Ministry. "The Libyan Ambassador in Egypt told Egypt's Foreign Minister Mohamed el-Orabi [now a former minister] over the phone about this," said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Menha Bakhoum. Since the unrest began in Libya in February, more than 300,000 Egyptian workers there have fled home. However, there are hundreds more in Libyan prisons.
