CAIRO – Egypt's Minister of Manpower and Immigration Ahmed el-Borai travels to Italy on Monday to take part in the meetings of European Union (EU) Training Institution with the participation of 25 countries all over the world, the official Middle East News Agency reports. "The EU is interested in offering Egypt logistic support for transformational training to revive the domestic labour market and solve unemployment problems," el-Borai said before his departure to Rome. He added that he was keen to enforce the law that prevents the replacement of local workers with foreign equivalents. El-Borai noted that foreign workers should get work permits, adding that the ministry deported last week, for the first time ever, a number of foreigners staying illegally in Egypt. He promised to maintain such campaigns on gathering sites of illegal foreign workers.
