CAIRO – Saudi Arabia and the Arab countries will witness a full eclipse of the Moon on May 17, lasting one hour and 40 minutes, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reports. The Chairman of the Astronomy Association in Jeddah Maged Abu Zahera told Saudi Arabia newspaper Okkaz that the eclipse will make the Moon very dark, adding that this will be the first time it's happened for 40 years. At 9:23pm (Mecca local time), the Moon will start its partial eclipse, while the full eclipse will begin at 10:22pm. The climax of the eclipse will be at 11:13pm.
