CAIRO - Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf discussed with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (Abou Mazen) on Thursday latest developments regarding the Palestinian cause, the official Middle East News Agency reported. The two officials met in Cairo in the presence of Egypt's Foreign Affairs Minister Nabil el-Arabi, Egyptian Ambassador in Ramallah Yaser Osman and Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Barakat al-Faraa, in addition to other officials of the two sides. Abbas met Amr Moussa, the secretary-general of the Arab League. The meeting also focused on Hamas-Fatah reconciliation drives and enhancing inter-Palestinian unity. Abou Mazen, who arrived in Cairo on Wednesday accompanied by a high-profile delegation, will stay here for four days.
