CAIRO " Egypt's national team returned home Tuesday after having a shocking defeat in South Africa in a qualifying match to the 2012 African Cup of Nations. The team led by coach Hassan Shehata looked dejected as they left Cairo Airport on the outskirts of the Egyptian capital. They declined to make comments. The Egyptian Football Association is due to hold an emergency meeting on Thursday amid calls for Shehata, who stewarded Egypt to three consecutive wins of the prestigious titles of the African Cup of Nations. The EFA Monday said that its president Samir Zaher called the meeting "to discuss all matters relating to the team" after Egypt slumped to a 1-0 loss to South Africa on Saturday to stay at the bottom of its qualifying group. The Pharaohs, who last won the African Cups in 2010, have a single point from three games and look likely to miss out entirely on the continental championship they have dominated.
