Egypt's Universities reopen next week

CAIRO - The public universities will reopen on March 5, the Supreme Council of Universities, chaired by Minister of Education and Higher Education Ahmed Gamal Eddin Moussa, said Sunday.
“The Council will form a committee to look into the salaries of university staff," added the statement. "We aim at developing and achieving their aspirations."
Moussa said: "It's important to make a great effort and focus on the country's interests. We have to face the problems and improve our universities."
The Council, which oversees higher education in Egypt also decided to add Minster of Scientific Research, Sciences and Technology Amr Ezzat Salama to its ranks.
