Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido' has officially moved to his boyhood club Zamalek for three-and-a-half years, the local media reported on Thursday. Mido has revealed that he is willing to sign with Cairo giants Zamalek even without any advanced payment. The player will take his cut (LE2 million [about $345,000]) in two instalments. The nomadic forward, who has had a long campaign in Europe with clubs like Ajax Amsterdam, Middlesborough, Tottenham, Roma and Marseille, says he wants to end his career with Zamalek. “I am attending training sessions with Zamalek to show that money isn't a problem,” says the 28-year-old, although he has expressed his regret that former Zamalek Chairman Mamdouh Abbas has reneged on his promise to fund Mido's deal, especially as the Whites are going through a financial crisis. “If you are willing to serve Zamalek, you don't have to be in an official position,” Mido adds. Abbas had promised to pay the advanced payments on Mido's contract before changing his mind and stating that he would cut the money from what the club owes him.
