CAIRO - Nearly 35 per cent of Egypt's eligible voters turned out to cast their ballots in Sunday's legislative elections, the Higher Election Committee said late Tuesday. In declaring the final results of the first round, which the ruling National Democratic Party swept, the commission said that the balloting and counting process was carried out in a fair manner. According to the Commission's report, all complaints were tackled and incidents related to voting did not affect the process.
