OCCUPIED JERUSALEM - Egypt's powerful intelligence chief says his government is seeking a breakthrough in stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. Omar Suleiman's comments in Israel Thursday come as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to travel to the US for talks with top administration officials. Netanyahu's office gave no details about his talks with Suleiman. Israeli-Palestinian peace talks are currently stalled over Israeli settlement construction in the occupied West Bank. Israel resumed settlement construction last month after the end of a ten-month freeze on new projects. The Palestinians say they won't talk while Israel builds on land they claim for a future state. The US has been seeking a compromise.
