New cultural channel to be launched

CAIRO - The Minister of Culture, Farouq Hosni, has announced Saturday the creation of a new satellite channel to propagate culture and broadcast Arabic-language cultural programmes in Egypt and abroad.
Farouq said that the educational channel will be named Ibdaae (Arabic for creativity).
"Ibdaae will promote the idea of culture and Egypt's rich culture," Minister Farouq said, adding that the channel present a mix of entertainment and educational programming.
