CAIRO - Many shop owners in Cairo have called on the Government to reconsider a decision ordering that all shops be closed at 7:00 p.m., arguing that the move will harm their business, which is already slow, the Chamber of Commerce members said Wednesday. The traders' representatives said that the move would have very negative financial effects on their businesses while the market is already stagnant, member of the Chamber's Board Ashraf Hillal said. "Most of shops would be affected if the Government went ahead with this decision," Hillal said, adding that the business group urges the Prime Minister, Ahmed Nazif, to back down and reconsider the move, which would have very negative repercussions on their ventures.
