CAIRO, Oct 9, 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian Minister of Finance Dr Mohamed Mait said the new customs law has a positive impact on improving Egypt's standard in three important international indices, namely the Global Competitiveness Index, Doing Business Index and Total Environment Performance Index. In a statement released Tuesday, the minister said the new bill encourages national economic projects thanks to its numerous mechanisms to encourage the Egyptian industry and confront harmful practices, mainly customs evasion. The bill also supports the government's efforts to reach the Egypt vision 2030 strategy which aims at increasing the Egyptian economy's competitiveness, the statement read.
