CAIRO, Sept 18, 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar issued on Tuesday a decision on increasing the tariffs imposed on the exports of nitrogen fertilizers to be LE 500 instead of LE 125 per ton for one year. In a statement, the Trade and Industry Ministry said the decision comes to provide the required nitrogen fertilizers for agriculture and export the surplus abroad in order to strike a balance in the Egyptian market. Reports from the Agriculture Ministry revealed that some fertilizers companies do not commit to giving the quotas of devoted to farmers, the statement added. The ministry noted that the decision will take effect after being published in the official gazette.
