CAIRO- Egypt's largest opposition party has called for a meeting to be attended by other opposition powers to discuss guarantees for fair and free elections, according to an MP. "Al Wafd has not taken a decision yet to participate in the forthcoming elections. It has just decied to prepare for the elections, said MP Mohamed Moustafa Sherdi. He added that his party has called on all political powers in Egypt to attend the meeting on August . He said that a committee in Al Wafd Party was considering the necessary guaranteeds for elections and would put forward at the August 5 meeting for all political powers to discuss. Egypt will elect a new parliament next November.
