Egypt- India talks on rail co-operation

CAIRO, August 16, 2018 - Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat on Thursday discussed with the Indian ambassador in Cairo means of boosting co-operation in the transport sector.
Arafat met the Indian Ambassador Rahul Kulshreshth to discuss transport projects being implemented with India. The Indian side has expressed its interest in investing in the field of land and dry ports.
Minister Arafat reviewed the investment opportunities in addition to the current projects, which are being implemented by his ministry.
There are a number of logistical zones and dry ports that the Ministry will offer to investors in 10th of Ramadan, Borg al-Arab, and Beni Suef. They discussed co-operation in automating 136 railway level crossings.
