CAIRO, August 7, (MENA) - Transport Minister Hisham Arafat said there is a comprehensive plan for establishing several dry ports and logistic zones to serve trade purposes. During a meeting on Tuesday with the board of the General Authority of Land and Dry Ports, Arafat said dry ports and logistic zones will be set up in the Sixth of October City, 10th of Ramadan City, Sadat City, New Borg el Arab City, New Beni Suef City and New Sohag City. The project of establishing a dry port in the Sixth of October City was put out to an international tender, he said. The final account showed that the authority has realised an LE 129 million surplus in the 2017-2018 FY, a rise of LE 47 million compared to the previous year. The authority carried out 93 per cent of its investment plan at about LE 155 million.
