CAIRO, July 31, 2018 (MENA) - British Trade Envoy to Egypt Sir Jeffrey Donaldson on Tuesday asserted that his country is seeking to enhance joint economic cooperation. A statement released by the office of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli after a meeting with Donaldson quoted the British envoy as saying that his country is also keen on pumping more investments into the Egyptian market. He added that Britain is seeking to tap new domains in Egypt, such as education, healthcare, building and reconstruction along with sanitary drainage and water purification. Attending the meeting were Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait along with Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar. The British envoy said his current visit to Egypt is aimed at getting the British companies acquainted with investment opportunities in Egypt. Madbouli, for his part, underlined the progress achieved in the national economy performance due to the economic and social reform programme which is adopted by the government. Nasr also highlighted efforts exerted by her ministry in the past period for improving the investment atmosphere in Egypt. The trade and industry minister confirmed his ministry's support for all British investment activities in Egypt.
