CAIRO, July 17, 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat on Tuesday held a meeting with a delegation of the French Alstom company which is entrusted with upgrading the railway signalling at Beni Suef-Assuit line. The project is covering up to 250 km at a total cost of LE1.6 billion. It comes as part of the Transport Ministry's plan to upgrade the railway signalling nationwide to enhance safety and security measures at the railway service. The Transport Ministry is carrying out a nationwide project for upgrading the railway signalling in main lines at a length of 1,089 km at a total cost of LE17 billion.
