Head of syndicate of journalists thanks Sisi for his support to freedom of press

CAIRO, July 15, 2018 (MENA) - Head of Syndicate of Journalists Abdel Mohsen Salama thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his support to freedom of the press and media, which helped to overcome the crisis of the press and media regulation laws in a calm and constructive dialogue between the syndicate on the one hand and the parliament and government on the other.
Salama stressed his full appreciation for the House of Representatives under Ali Abdel Aal and Parliament's Culture and Media Committee under Osama Heikal for approving most of the proposals of the syndicate on the laws regulating the press and media, especially with regard to controversial articles, which the council of the syndicate has highlighted in its meetings to discuss these laws.
He commended Minister of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Omar Marwan's efforts to bring the points of view between the parliament and the syndicate closer.
