Pope Tawadros attends July 23 Revolution celebration in Vienna

VIENNA, July 13, 2018 (MENA) - Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese took part in a celebration held by the Egyptian embassy in Austria to mark the 66th anniversary of July 23 Revolution.
The participation of the pontiff came at the invitation of Egypt's Ambassador in Vienna Amr Amer.
The event was attended by over 50 diplomats and ambassadors from across the globe along with more than 300 participants who expressed happiness over having the chance to meet the pope, Coptic Orthodox Church spokesman Bishop Polis Halim said in statements on Friday.
Pope Tawadros arrived in Vienna on Monday coming from Italy in a papal visit to Austria's diocese.
