CAIRO, July 8, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt and Japan signed on Sunday a grant agreement to finance the establishment of an automatic system to count value-added tax in Egypt. The accord was signed by Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Takehiro Kagawa in the presence of Finance Minister Mohamed Maait. The project is expected to cost LE 15.5 million, to be paid through a grant from BMC International of Japan. The planned system will secure an effective implementation of the state financial policy and boost the economic reform programmes, said the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation.
