CAIRO, June 17, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt condemned Sunday the terrorist attack that hit northeastern Nigeria leaving 31 persons dead. In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed that the Egyptian government and people are backing Nigeria in its fighting against terrorism phenomenon, urging for rallying international efforts to encounter extremism. The ministry further extended condolences to the families of the victims, the statement read. Earlier, two suicide bombers have attacked a town in north-eastern Nigeria and residents say at least 31 people died. The explosions were followed up by rockets fired from outside the town. Boko Haram militants are suspected.
